This weekend has been interesting at best. On Friday I went and got a flu shot. They don't use the active live flu anymore. They use a synthetic one made with egg. So they told me that I might get a fever and thats all if anything that will affect me. Now my mother used to get the flu every year when she got her old kind of shots. She would be so sick with the flu she would be out of work for several days if not a week. So I have been real hesitant on getting the shot for many years. This year I broke down and did it, especially with the swine flu going around and since I work with kids everyday. Ok so here is how this new kind of shot affected me.....  I got the shot at 9:30am since they told me they were running out and i needed to go in then... off I went to get my shot. I went to work at 2:30 and by 5-6pm I was very useless and glad I had another worker with me. I could barely clean up so we could leave. I was starting to be feverish. I went to bed early. On saturday I had a fever of 100. something and layed around a lot and by evening my stomach and back were in serious pain. Today this morning i came downstairs and slipped/fell down the stairs... then I was dropping things all day like my fingers would not work. Then recently my back was hurting again.. mild flu like symptoms from the shot that was supposed to do nothing to me...... yeah right. I have gotten a lot sleep though but i didn't expect to get the symptoms that I did when other people have no side effects. Also we have been rebuilding the front steps to our house and that has been time consuming. Lately I feel like I have been running a rat race and I am tired dang it.

Also we sent out our taxes on the 15th and the website for our post office said they were open and Bradley went there and they were closed and hour earlier. So he had to put the envelopes in the slot. Well it took them 2 days to get back to us saying insufficient postage. WTF? they should have sent them on to the IRS and if not they should have made it back here quicker than 2 days later. I need to go to the post tomorrow and talk to them about this and see what they can do for me. Back date them or something??? I am a bit pissed off right now. time sensitive material they are monkeying around with us. Well I have no idea right now except but to go there tomorrow and see what they say..... rrrrrgh.

I am feeling a bit better now since the flu shot finally but it pretty much ruined my weekend. I hope everyone else had a great one though..... take care all.

Hey Amanda... Thanks for checking out the Atlas Mine Reveal. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'm sorry to hear you're feeling yucky after having that flu shot, though; personally, I don't get them, because I feel they're unnecessary. If my body can't produce the antibodies it needs to fight these things off, then I guess I'll be done. But I don't feel these shots are good for us, so I refuse to get them.

Anyway, I hope you take it easy today and don't overdo things. Give your body a chance to recuperate...
