Today I have been battling ants. Once summer comes it seems that we have to share our old farm house with ants and such. We have a professional sprayer and stuff in it so I have been cleaning the kitchen and spraying but it seems that I have been doing this every day....I am so tired of it. The girls are here and I sprayed them down with bug spray so they don't get eaten up. And now they are playing outside. Fresh air is good. Yesterday the storms that came through left us wet and now humidity and stickiness and summer heat come through. AHHHH SUMMER. Well I am sitting in the cooler house and having my morning coffee......in summer. yes. I still need it in the morning.

Thankyou, my friend, for your love and support on the "Torn" post. I agree with you completely about the rage issue; my kids, however, would not. They don't believe they need any help; they believe they're just fine, that it's me who needs help. Still, your advice about keeping protections up is appreciated and agreed with; it seems like all I've done, lately, is focus on building up my protective walls... It sucks, too, because they are my children, my own flesh and blood, and I hate having to keep them away from me...

As to your ant problem, have you tried running a line of chalk around the areas where they're coming in? Plain white sidewalk chalk works wonders, I'm told, so maybe it might be worth a shot if you haven't already tried that...

From everything you've shared about Ashlyn, I think it's great that she's taking on a summer job. I mean, honestly: $3000??? That is WAY over the line for a girl her age (well, for ANYONE, really), if you ask me. I hope she sticks with it and actually learns from the experience...
