Well it has been 14 days now since I had the surgery on my mouth. Did I mention having to have it done in here yet? if not....well now you know. It was awful. The periodontist did the right side of my mouth just the back teeth. He numbed my mouth first lots of shots in there too many I think. Shit was I numb, then he said he was going to poke around some....I could tell he was cutting by the pressure then he cleaned with several electric tools and pokey scrapy thing. Then sewed me back up and put this stuff ontop of the stitches that is just like old chewing gum. They mixed this stuff up and he pressed it onto the stitches to protect them and put pressure on it. He said it was worse in there than he thought and he had to work at it a bit. So he then prescribed me Amoxicillin, Lodine AND Vicodin. Shit I am telling you I was in so much pain the first 3 days I didn't think I would have enough pills to last. And my mouth was swelling a bit had to put ice packs on it from time to time. This was terrible and I don't want to go through it again. I will have to have the other side done in a month or so. As for the rest of the weekend we went down to Stasis house and even though my mouth was bad it was a wonderful visit as always and I was sad to leave. THANKS STASI for putting up with us and my mouth. We had such a nice time and the candy shop was great fun even though I couldn't buy anything. Rhiannon loved her gummy bears thankyou for treating her! We also went to a friends Birthday dinner Saturday night it was his 80th and I had ordered Fillet Mignion weeks ahead of time......I had one feat trying to eat it. All weekend I was so hungry and had to take very small bites and only chew on one side of my mouth. I can't tell you how badly I wanted to eat with both hands and really enjoy the food....but my mouth hurt so bad even with all the pills. OH and the fun side effects people get from Vicodin???? I don't get them it was like taking tylenol. I thought with all this pain I could enjoy the vicodin....no I am in the 20 percent who get no effects from it. boohoo. Well I really needed its extra punch on the pain and that it did. As for now 14 days later...I am fine and back to eating normally. Although cold hurts and for some reason right now it hurts. Maybe my sinuses. JUST THOUGHT I WOULD GIVE YOU ALL AN UPDATE. Well its the same update as the one I posted at the sisters but no one has read it or said anything. ugh. Whats up with everyone here?
